i really miss my jc days... went back to tj today to support the dancers in syf this morning, and boy, tj is rather differnet now... their PE t shirts are much nicer to start with, and there's this obstacle stucture like 7 storeys tall near the rock wall...
memories came flooding back to me the moment i stepped into tj this morning.. i only seem to appreciate them after entering uni.. like:
1) i miss taking the 730 bus to reach there just before the gate close at 740
2) staying back everyday after sch for dance behind the audi till 11+++
3) morning break time in the canteen copying homework!
4) positioning my seat such tt i get a good view of my crush n hope he notice me too
5) taekwondo training that marie and i always try to slack
6) running to lucky heights and east coast park
7) eating lunch at everywhere else but the sch canteen
8) bitching and gossiping with the dancers about the latest couple/scandal
9) convincing guys to join dance
10) trying to act cool with short skirts and overly tucked out shirts..
11) seeing how my class guys always bullying chiangliang
12) getting scolded by the teachers for sleeping
13) singing the college athem
14) being late for all my classes with the class..
15) finally.. dancing with the dancers..
SYF 2005was so happy to see one of my sec sch juniors in tj dance, she was only in sec 1 when i was in sec 4 n now she's dancing for tj! anw back to syf:National JC was the opening.. well wat can i say. they've always been getting golds every year and this yr shdn't be a diff.. REALLY GOOD BALLET technique.. but the dance was a tad too bland overall.
Victoria JC was not strong in technique, but as zaki puts it, he had to make them do more acting type of movements and high-energy dance to divert attention away from their lack in technique. BUT i tot, or rather everyone tot that they were really good! i was gaping as i watched... really good choreo!Temasek JC very fairies-in-wonderland, the gers look like angels! much nicer compared to my batch's robotic aliens last SYF.. and they have MORE SKILLED dancers than my batch...i liked the piece, but wasn't as impresesed as vj.. praying hard we can squeeze a goldSt Andrew's JC this is sure gold with honours. all of us were sure of that halfway thru their dance already.. its quite like those sleek sharp comtemp pieces.. but its really good. and this poor guy fell on his chin this very morning and had 7 stitches done before coming back for the competition.. Raffles JC they seem to have an affinity with leaves and plants... last time use leaves, this yr use some noisy lalang thing and guys(yes they finally have guys) hold bamboo poles.. they are really neat comsidering that they have bout 40 ppl on stage tog at one time.. not very impressive tho..
talked to zaki during the interval, still as bitchy as ever, but we totally love his bitchiness! damn farnie... he's freaking out like mad la since VJ,TJ,SAJC are all sent by him.. anw results are out already... i was so eager to receive a call from rohai:
me: so wat did tj get???!!!!!
him: we got GOLD with HONOURS u know!? with SAJC!
me: *gasp* OHMIGOD!!! reallyyy!! oh man i can't believe it!! den wat about vj and rj?him: they got gold onli..me: wat? really? oh gosh.. (evil me is act quite happy).
.
..-more squealing-...this piece of news made my day! my week also! don't think any of the dancers will be reading this but, i love u guys!! i love mr zaki too!! Thank you
