sorry for not updating it my trip, i wish this can be the last part but im too lazy to wait for all the photos to be uploaded so i'll put up day 7. short and sweet. its just shopping!

day 7: myeongdong and dongdaemum...


one thing i dun like about seoul is their shopping streets (like this one) is for ppl to walk n for cars to drive! so everytime car come must really siam.. n theres no space to walk if the car comes... they dun have orchard road this kind of cheaper shopping district, all shops along the street/road.

anyway, today i finally got the time to do 1 hr of shopping after work, had to skip sm other plans., but if i dont buy anything today i will die.... next week is packed everyday!!! n all my weekends are gone with the next wave rehearsals starting this week... 9am on sunday! but its worth it for zaki la. wonder if he still reads this.

i bought 3 tops from zara and a damn beautiful satin pants from mango!! i lovelove it!! treat it as a bday present for myself..

speaking of bday, i got a bday surprise from my fellow interns today! its raelly surprise!!! cos all along i tot we were celebrating king yaw's farewell, and in the end i enter the dark room they started singing Happy Birthday! i was like totally stunned can!! they really really kept me in the dark v well. they had to do it today n not tuesday cos then i will not suspect anything and think we're celebrating KY farewell (he is really leaving us today), but we celebrated his farewell 2 weeks ago also la. they bought me LANA chocalate cake, damn nice! heard its famous too... and perfume from crabtree n evelyn... anw im damn touched la.... altho i know them for only 6 7 weeks but we always joke n eat lunch tog n they always help me with my programming when i need help! which is like all the time cos i dunno how to write a single line of program myself...

im at the point of my undergrad life where i kinda dread most, the 3 letter word. FYP (k its not a word).. it really sucks. all along i tot i know what i really want, but looking at the 100+ projects in the FYP list, i really dunno what the hell they talking about and none of them looks like what i really really like. if got, its taken! how come can chope one! i tot everyone has equal standing n chances for the projects!

anw since i chose oil n gas, my choices are limited, which is a good thing so not so headache to look at every single proj. i haven shortlist yet... but i think will anyhow. i just want to maintain my CAP...

darren is back from his DB camp! sadly he got food poisoning/gastric flu since thurs, vomit 3 times n totally no appetite... hope he gets well soon =)

n very very reluctantly, went to this secret garden thing cos chaiyut likes to see old architecture and heritage thing, im more of the shopping kind. we had no choice cos there's no where else to go... shopping is reserved for day 7.

anw the kids r brought up in a homogeneous society, so they were so curious when they see us spking english tho we're asian. keep giving us funny looks... haha

chaiyut is damn popular la! so many girls keep trailing behind n want to talk to him lidat. in the end i heard one of them said the word "excuse me" den i told chaiyut that i think they r interested in him. so he said HELLO and one of the girls replied "english, OK?" den we're like OKOK.thats like the only english they know. so we figured they wanted to take photo with us(i bet its just chaiyut)


this boy is very daring, he jsut anyhow whack his english. but really cute and wants to take a photo with us. its all using body language. chaiyut says the girls behind are so jealous of the lil boy cos he dare to talk to us and take photo with us that they have to stare in awe at the back. and from chaiyut's camera, if u zoom, the girls's expressions really in awe ha

anw for the next hour as we walk, these kids keep coming up to us to ask which country we;re from, but they spk korean, so we just say "erm we dun understand korean". then they keep pestering their teacher, who joked that we are from germany (from what i evedrop)
finally the teacher come up to me and ask where we're from, n trust me the teacher emglish cannot the make it!!! anw i told him that im from sg n chaiyut said thailand. n u knwo what! he nvr even heard of thailand!!!!! haha, chaiyut have to describe to him where it is geographically. we think thats y he's a pri sch teacher... haha





after that we took a cab to 63 city. where My Girl was filmed.

finally, dinner with our lovely joan tan near her school! i dunno what is this called, samgeoksul or smthg like that la. basically, grilled pork wrap in the leaf with many small things n stuff into ur mouth. its really nice!
